Communist revolutionaries ignite American flags outside Jason Aldean concert, challenging 'America's greatness'

07:47 11.09.2023

A communist revolutionary group made headlines over the weekend after they were captured burning American flags during a protest outside a Jason Aldean concert in Chicago. The group, known as Revolution Club Chicago, consisted of around 20 communist members who gathered outside Credit Union 1 Amphitheater in Tinley Park to express their opposition to capitalism. Chanting phrases like "F-k the US and all its might," the protesters also mocked Aldean's hit song "Try That In A Small Town."

Video footage shared by News2Share showed the group burning American flags while taking jabs at Aldean's song. One activist, Rafael Kadaris, flew all the way from California to participate in the protest and told the Chicago Tribune, "Guess what, Jason? We will try that in a small town. And we will try it right in front of your concert." The protesters called Aldean's song "a piece of fascist sh-t."

Law enforcement quickly intervened, declaring the protest an "unlawful assembly" and stating that concert-goers were "alarmed and disturbed" by the presence of the protesters. A Tinley Park Police Officer used a bullhorn to order the group to disperse, warning them that failure to comply could result in the deployment of chemical or less legal measures. The group cheered at the officer's ultimatum but ultimately migrated away from the protest area after repeated commands and warnings.

Despite being flipped off by a few concert-goers, the protesters did not encounter any major altercations with Aldean's fans. The concert proceeded as scheduled, and no arrests were reported. The protesters also expressed their support for the Revolutionary Communist Party (RevCom), an organization that aims to create a Marxist revolution in America and refers to the US as "the belly of the imperialist beast."

One of the leaders of Revolution Club Chicago, Leo Pargo, defended the act of burning the American flag as protected by the right to free speech and expressed his belief in communism. "The people in the United States have been lied to about communism," Pargo told the Chicago Tribune.

The controversy surrounding Aldean's song "Try That In A Small Town" has added fuel to the fire. The song's music video, released in July, featured authentic news footage of rioters, looters, and violence during the 2020 protests following the death of George Floyd. Critics believed that Aldean was being critical of the Black Lives Matter movement. However, Aldean took to social media to deny these accusations, stating, "These references are not only meritless but dangerous."

RevCom's manifesto praises Mao Zedong's Cultural Revolution and emphasizes the group's commitment to leading a revolution in the United States as part of the global communist movement. Fox News Digital reached out to RevCom for comment but did not receive an immediate response.
