Watch: Swimmers rescue deadly shark stranded on Florida beach

20:59 18.09.2023 - The Telegraph, Tony Diver

Four men pull the shortfin mako off the shore and into the water.

A group of Florida beachgoers rescued a stranded shark by dragging it into the sea as it tried to bite them.

A video posted online shows four men helping a shortfin mako shark back into the water at a beach in Pensacola, Florida's westernmost city.

The men pulled the shark off the beach by its caudal fins as it tried to free itself.

A woman standing behind the camera yelled: "Look at them freakin' teeth!"

Mako sharks are endangered. They are not considered among the most dangerous species but dozens of attacks have been recorded by the International Shark Attack File.

At least three people have died from their injuries.
