Several rooms in the White House pay homage to the 200th anniversary of the publication of the poem and book commonly known as "Twas the Night Before Christmas." The library, for instance, showcases samples of editions of the book from the past 200 years, displayed in protective cases. Meanwhile, the traditional gingerbread White House features a large sugar cookie replica of the book, opened to a page that reads "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night." Santa's sleigh and reindeer can be seen flying above the cookie White House.

The holiday decorations extend throughout the White House, with each room showcasing its unique theme. The State Dining Room has been transformed into Santa's workshop, complete with elves' workbenches and tools.
