Kevin Hart Tops Billboard's List of Highest-Earning Comedians, Dave Chappelle Comes in Second

In a recent report by Billboard, it has been revealed that Kevin Hart has emerged as the highest-earning comedian from November 2022 to September 2023. The popular comedian raked in a staggering $67.5 million from his live shows, leaving his closest competitor, Dave Chappelle, far behind with earnings of $36.6 million.

Hart's incredible success is reflected in his upcoming tour schedule, which extends all the way until June 2024. Fans will have the opportunity to catch him live in 12 different cities across North America, including a headlining show at Albany, NY's Palace Theatre on January 9th. Additionally, Hart will be performing at the star-studded Netflix is a Joke comedy festival, where he will share the stage with some of the biggest names in the industry.

For those interested in attending one of Hart's shows, ticket prices on Vivid Seats range from $60 to $212, although prices are subject to change. Fans can find a complete calendar of Hart's tour dates, venues, and links to the cheapest tickets available on Vivid Seats' website.

In addition to his highly successful live shows, Hart has a busy schedule with nine movies and TV shows set for release in the near future. One of his notable upcoming projects is a reimagining of the 1987 classic "Planes, Trains & Automobiles," in which he co-stars alongside Will Smith. With such a packed schedule, it's clear that Hart shows no signs of slowing down.

For fans who want to catch up on Hart's previous comedy specials, they are in luck. Many of his specials are available for streaming on various platforms, including Netflix, YouTube, Tubi, and Peacock. From "I'm a Grown Little Man" to "Headliners Only," fans can enjoy Hart's hilarious performances from the comfort of their own homes.

But Hart isn't the only comedian worth mentioning. Mike Birbiglia, fresh off the release of his new Netflix special "The Old Man and the Pool," is also hitting the road. The comedian will be performing nine shows at Boston's Wilbur Theatre in December as part of his 'Christmas Parmesan' residency. In 2024, Birbiglia will embark on his 'Please Stop The Ride Tour,' which includes stops in Troy, NY, and Rochester, NY.

Fans can purchase tickets for Birbiglia's shows on Vivid Seats, with prices ranging from $48 to $300. For those who want to catch up on Birbiglia's specials before attending his live shows, all four of his specials can be found on Netflix.

Birbiglia's dedication to perfecting his jokes can be witnessed on his podcast, "Working It Out." The show, which has surpassed 100 episodes, features conversations with fellow comedians and creatives as they discuss and fine-tune their material. Past guests include Conan O'Brien, Michael J. Fox, and Sarah Sherman from Saturday Night Live.

In addition to his stand-up career, Birbiglia has also penned a book titled "The New One: Painfully True Stories From A Reluctant Dad." The book, co-authored with his wife J. Hope Stein, has received rave reviews and offers a humorous take on the ups and downs of parenthood.

While Kevin Hart and Mike Birbiglia are two of the most notable comedians on tour, there are many other talented comedians hitting the road in 2023. Jim Gaffigan and Sebastian Maniscalco are among the top names to watch out for in the coming months.

With a range of exciting comedy events and tours happening in the near future, comedy fans have plenty to look forward to. Whether it's catching a performance by the highest-earning comedian Kevin Hart or attending a show by the talented Mike Birbiglia, laughter is guaranteed.
