The event featured educational activities such as a reading nook and a farm field trip, transforming the White House into a classroom. President Joe Biden delivered remarks at the event, emphasizing the power of hope, renewal, sacrifice, and resurrection that Easter symbolizes. Despite a delay due to a storm in the area, children rolled colorful eggs across the South Lawn using wooden spoons in the long-standing tradition. The event included various stations to help children learn about farming, healthier eating, and exercise. This year's Easter Egg Roll marked the third hosted by the Biden White House, after skipping the event in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was open to the general public through an online lottery, with nine sessions throughout the day. The annual tradition continues to bring families together in a celebration of love, grace, and the values that make America a great nation.
