Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid Confirms He's a Swiftie in Interview with Donovan McNabb

Kansas City, MO - In a recent interview with former NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb on his Outkick podcast "The 5 Spot," Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid admitted to being a fan of pop star Taylor Swift. The question came up as rumors circulated about Swift's possible romantic involvement with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Reid, who previously coached McNabb during their time together with the Philadelphia Eagles, didn't seem thrilled to be asked the question. However, he confirmed his admiration for Swift, saying, "Like you, I know her from Philadelphia. I think her dad is a big NFL fan, so I had met her when she was real young and her dad. I joked about setting Kelce up, but I'm just saying."

McNabb couldn't help but laugh at Reid's comment, and the Chiefs coach continued to praise Swift, saying, "She's a good girl. She's into it, and we're glad she's here."

The budding romance between Swift and Kelce has become a hot topic in both football and pop culture circles. Their relationship has brought a new audience to the NFL, and the league has welcomed the increased attention. In September, rumors of their connection started surfacing, and Swift was spotted cheering on Kelce and the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium during their game against the Chicago Bears.

Recently, the couple made their first public appearance together in New York, surprising fans with appearances on "Saturday Night Live." They were also caught on camera showing affection while out in Manhattan. Fans even speculated that the couple had a secret makeout session in an SUV on their way to an afterparty following their time on the iconic NBC show.

Kelce, who had some free time over the weekend due to the Chiefs' victory over the Denver Broncos on Thursday night, spent quality time with Swift. The Chiefs are set to face the Los Angeles Chargers next on Sunday.

While Swift's presence at Arrowhead Stadium dominated the headlines, the Chiefs' performance on the field hasn't gone unnoticed. The team has been firing on all cylinders, particularly during their blowout win over the Chicago Bears in Week 3. Reid praised reigning NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes for his leadership and mentoring role with the young receivers on the team.

"Mahomes is a veteran. It's his sixth year starting here, and you can tell he's got a bunch of young receivers working with those guys. He's really taking them under his wing, and that's new for him. That's a new experience for him. And I like the way he's handling it," Reid commented.

Furthermore, Reid spoke highly of the Chiefs' fan base and their passion for the game. He described Arrowhead Stadium as a loud and vibrant environment, comparing it to a college atmosphere. In fact, in 2014, the stadium set a Guinness World Record for the loudest crowd noise during a game against the New England Patriots, registering an astounding 14.2 decibels, louder than an airplane during takeoff.

As the Chiefs continue their season, fans will eagerly watch both the team's performance on the field and the budding romance between Kelce and Swift.
