Kathy Griffin splits from husband Randy Bick just before 4th anniversary

20:44 30.12.2023

In a surprising turn of events, comedian Kathy Griffin has filed for divorce from her husband of nearly four years, Randy Bick. The 63-year-old star, known for her show "My Life on the D List," submitted the divorce papers in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, citing "irreconcilable differences." This news comes just days before the couple would have celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary.

Griffin and Bick tied the knot on New Year's Day in 2020, less than three years after Griffin faced backlash and was fired by CNN from her annual New Year's Eve hosting gig with Anderson Cooper. The controversy erupted when she posted a photo of herself holding what appeared to be the decapitated head of then-President Trump. Despite the controversy, Griffin seemed to find happiness in her marriage to Bick.

However, the comedian seemed to hint at trouble in paradise on her social media, writing, "Well... This sucks." It is unclear what exactly led to the decision to file for divorce, but Griffin has requested that the court enforce their prenuptial agreement, which was signed on December 23, 2019. TMZ first reported that she is also asking the court not to award any spousal support.

Griffin and Bick, a marketing executive, have no children together. They first started dating in 2011, and their relationship was not without its ups and downs. Griffin was previously married to actor Matt Moline from 2001 to 2006, and she accused him of stealing from her during an appearance on "Larry King Live" in 2006. She even incorporated their troubles into her comedy act, joking that she didn't think her marriage to Moline would last because he was 18 years younger than her.

Despite the challenges, Griffin spoke highly of her relationship with Bick in a 2016 interview with People magazine. She described him as a "real guy" and praised his sweet and mellow nature. Now, as the divorce proceedings begin, Griffin will soon find herself newly single in 2024.

In addition to the divorce news, Griffin is also planning her return to the spotlight with a new comedy tour titled "My Life on the PSTD-List." The tour is set to take place next year, showcasing her signature humor and wit. Griffin's resilience and ability to find humor in difficult situations have been evident throughout her career, and it seems she is ready to share her experiences once again with her fans.

As this chapter of her life comes to a close, Griffin remains a prominent figure in the entertainment industry. Her comedic talents and ability to push boundaries have garnered both praise and criticism, but she continues to captivate audiences with her unique brand of humor. Only time will tell what the future holds for Kathy Griffin, but one thing is for certain - she will face whatever comes her way with her trademark resilience and unapologetic humor.
