The entertainment world was rocked by tragedy as actor Cole Brings Plenty, known for his role in the Yellowstone spinoff "1923," was found dead in a wooded area in Kansas after being reported missing amid a domestic violence investigation. The Johnson County Sheriff's Office made the grim discovery after responding to an empty car on Homestead Lane, where the 27-year-old's body was found. Details about the cause of death were not immediately released.

Prior to his tragic demise, Brings Plenty had been charged with aggravated burglary, domestic battery, and criminal restraint in a nearby county. Lawrence police had responded to a domestic violence incident where a woman was heard screaming for help, but Brings Plenty had already fled the scene in a Ford Explorer. Traffic cameras captured his departure from the city, and concerns grew as he missed a scheduled audition and his phone remained off.

Family and friends, including his uncle Moses Brings Plenty, a fellow actor on "Yellowstone," raised awareness about Cole's disappearance and expressed doubt about the allegations against him. The family reported him missing, leading to a search effort that tragically ended with the discovery of his body. Cole Brings Plenty's father, Joe, confirmed his son's death and expressed gratitude for the support received during the search.

The talented actor, who drew on his Lakota heritage to create his Indigenous characters, had made a mark in the television industry with roles in Western-themed dramas. The circumstances surrounding his death and the domestic violence allegations remain under investigation, leaving the entertainment community in shock and mourning the loss of a promising talent.
