Human remains of slain Milwaukee teen wash up on Lake Michigan shore

Authorities in Milwaukee County have made a gruesome discovery of human remains believed to be those of missing 19-year-old Sade Robinson, who was dismembered and slain following a first date with 33-year-old Maxwell Anderson. The torso and an arm were found washed up on a remote beach along Lake Michigan in South Milwaukee, about a quarter of a mile from an apartment complex. Anderson has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, and arson in connection with Robinson's death.

The tragic chain of events began on April 1 when Robinson went on a date with Anderson at a local seafood restaurant. She was reported missing the next day after failing to show up for work, and her burned car was found shortly after. Subsequent discoveries of body parts, including a severed leg and a human foot, have been made in various locations in Milwaukee. Investigators believe all the remains belong to Robinson, but formal confirmation is pending.

Anderson, who remains in custody on a $5 million bond, is set to appear in court for a preliminary examination on Monday. The sheriff's office has contracted a sonar detection boat to search Lake Michigan for additional evidence in the case. Robinson's family and loved ones are mourning her loss, with a verified GoFundMe set up to help cover her memorial service expenses.

In a statement, Anderson's father expressed condolences to Robinson's family, acknowledging the "incomprehensible pain and grief" they are experiencing. The community is coming together to honor Robinson's memory as they seek justice for her senseless death. The investigation into Robinson's murder is ongoing, with authorities working diligently to piece together the harrowing trail of evidence in this tragic case.
