The incident occurred around 1 p.m. in her kitchen when Senator Feinstein tripped over a chair, her office reported. Concerned for her well-being, she was admitted to the hospital "as a precaution," stated Adam Russell, her spokesman. However, after a thorough examination and clear scans, doctors determined that her injuries were not serious, and she was released from the hospital within an hour or two.

Though her spokesperson described the fall as minor, it highlights the ongoing health issues the senator has faced. In February, Feinstein was hospitalized due to a severe case of shingles, which kept her away from her duties until May.
