A 28-year-old woman from Allentown, Pennsylvania, has been arrested and charged with murder after allegedly intentionally mowing down a 23-year-old moped rider in the Bronx on Saturday. The incident, which police have labeled a road rage-fueled attack, occurred at around 2:20 p.m. on Fox Street, near the Intervale Avenue intersection.

According to law enforcement sources, Lillibeth Vasquez became enraged when the victim, Robert Jimenez, sideswiped her Honda Civic, causing her mirror to be knocked off. Despite both parties continuing to drive, Vasquez allegedly pursued Jimenez and deliberately rammed into him, resulting in fatal trauma to his body.

Photos taken at the scene revealed the aftermath of the collision, with the front of Vasquez's vehicle violently smashed in and the front right tire turned on its side. Jimenez, who lived just a short distance away, was immediately rushed to Lincoln Medical Center but was tragically pronounced dead.

After further investigation, Jimenez's death was classified as a homicide. On Sunday, Vasquez was apprehended and charged with murder and manslaughter. Her arraignment in Bronx Criminal Court was scheduled for Monday.

Jimenez was quickly transported to Lincoln Hospital, where medical professionals sadly declared him deceased. The woman responsible for the accident was taken into custody, while charges were still pending as of late Saturday evening.
