According to authorities, the violent rampage began when Shane James allegedly killed his parents in their home in the San Antonio area. The victims, Phyllis James, 55, and Shane James Sr., 56, were found dead with gunshot wounds to the upper body. After killing his parents, James stole his father's truck and traveled more than 80 miles to Austin, where he continued his shooting spree.
