Hunter Biden accuses Republicans of trying to destroy him

09:12 09.12.2023

In a recent podcast interview released on Friday, Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, spoke out about the ongoing public campaign against him and his struggles with substance abuse. He expressed his belief that Republicans are attempting to destroy his father's presidency by targeting him and trying to kill him. Hunter Biden made these remarks during an interview on the Moby Pod, hosted by musician Moby, which was recorded in his art studio in San Francisco.

During the interview, Hunter Biden revealed that he believes there is a concerted effort to push him back into substance abuse. He stated that his critics are engaging in a public campaign to lure him back into his past struggles, in an attempt to inflict pain on his father that he would not be able to handle. Hunter Biden defiantly declared that he will not allow them to use him as an example of why people in recovery are doomed to fail. He expressed his determination to survive the campaign against him and remain clean and sober.

The interview was recorded before Hunter Biden was charged with nine tax-related charges on Thursday by federal prosecutors. This comes after a previous indictment in September for lying about his drug use during the purchase of a firearm. Hunter Biden has pleaded not guilty to these charges.

Hunter Biden also addressed the vilification of his father during the interview, stating that his father has campaigned for president three times before, but only now is he being targeted and attacked. Though he did not mention Donald Trump directly, he suggested that his father's predecessor gave people license to express feelings of rage, which has contributed to the current climate of hostility. He blamed Trump for the "underlying sickness" in the country.

Regarding the accusations of corruption against his family, Hunter Biden dismissed the idea of the "Biden Crime Family." He argued that his father has been in the public eye for decades, with his family's lives constantly under scrutiny. He joked that it took until Donald Trump came along for anyone to suggest that his family was involved in criminal activity.

In response to the interview, supporters of the Biden family have rallied behind Hunter Biden, expressing their concern for his well-being and condemning the relentless attacks on him. They argue that he should be allowed to focus on his recovery and his personal life without being subjected to such intense scrutiny.

It remains to be seen how these recent developments will impact President Biden's presidency and his chances for reelection in 2024. As of now, Hunter Biden remains determined to overcome the challenges he faces and continue to advocate for access to rehab facilities for people from all backgrounds.
