A Texas high school basketball player and his older brother are facing charges after allegedly assaulting a coach in a parking lot. The incident occurred after the player, identified as Jevin Allen, 17, was benched for inappropriate conduct towards an opponent during a game. Jevin's brother, Jarrick Allen, 22, is accused of joining in the assault.

According to officials from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, the coach, whose name has not been released, noticed Jevin and his family waiting in the parking lot outside of Willis High School after the game had ended. The family was reportedly furious with the coach over the benching. When the coach approached them, a verbal altercation ensued.

During the argument, Jevin allegedly punched the coach in the face, prompting his brother to join in the attack. The coach sustained injuries to his head, neck, face, and arms. Other coaches and bystanders attempted to intervene and break up the fight. Once the altercation ended, both suspects fled the scene.

Jevin and Jarrick Allen were later arrested and charged with assault on a public servant. They were released from the Montgomery County Jail after posting $23,000 bond each. Jevin is no longer enrolled at Willis High School, according to officials.
