Former NBA G League Star Arrested for Strangling Woman in Las Vegas

19:18 21.12.2023

Former NBA G League player, Chance Comanche, has confessed to kidnapping and killing a woman in Las Vegas, according to police. Comanche, along with his ex-girlfriend Sakari Harnden, were arrested and initially charged with kidnapping Marayna Rodgers. However, following the discovery of Rodgers' remains, murder charges have now been pursued. The arrest warrant reveals that Comanche and Harnden lured Rodgers to a secluded location under the pretense of a prostitution deal. They then strangled her in Harnden's vehicle before dumping her body in a ditch and covering it with rocks. Comanche has shown detectives where Rodgers' body was buried. Both Comanche and Harnden are now facing murder charges. The Sacramento Kings' G League affiliate, the Stockton Kings, have released Comanche from the team. Comanche was arrested in Sacramento during practice at the Stockton Kings' facility, while Harnden was arrested in Las Vegas. Comanche has waived extradition and will be transported back to Nevada to face charges. Harnden appeared in court on Sunday, with her bond set at $500,000.
