Pregnant Texas teen and boyfriend vanish before scheduled induction: Desperate for answers

14:20 26.12.2023

A pregnant teenager from Texas has been reported missing after failing to show up at the hospital for her scheduled induction. Savanah Nicole Soto, 18, was last seen at her apartment complex in Leon Valley on Friday, according to her mother, Gloria Cordova. Cordova became worried when Soto did not appear at the hospital for her scheduled induction the next day. A CLEAR Alert was issued for Soto by the Texas Department of Transportation on Monday morning, stating that she may be in danger. Soto's boyfriend, Matthew Guerra, with whom she was living, is also missing.

Soto's sister-in-law took to Facebook to accuse Guerra of being abusive, though these reports have not been confirmed. Guerra's mother, on the other hand, defended her son, stating that he would not harm Soto. Soto's family has expressed concern as she is over a week past her due date. Police attempted to enter Soto's apartment on Monday but were unsuccessful. The Leon Valley Police Department has not commented on Soto's disappearance or confirmed whether Guerra is also considered missing.

Soto's mother, Cordova, is desperately searching for her daughter and unborn grandchild while still grieving the loss of her 15-year-old son last year. Cordova pleads for Soto to come home, assuring her that no judgment will be passed. Soto is described as 5-foot-1-inch with brown hair and brown eyes. She may be traveling in a gray 2013 Kia Optima with temporary Texas tags.

Officials and family members are now joining forces in the search for Soto, who vanished just one day before she was scheduled to be induced. The Leon Valley Police Department confirmed that Soto had missed her appointment and issued a CLEAR alert, which is used for missing adults in immediate danger. Soto's family stated that she is now a week past her due date.

The address where Soto was last seen is the same apartment complex where she lived with her boyfriend and the father of her child. However, no one has been able to contact Guerra since Soto's disappearance. Soto's grandmother, Rachel Soto, shared that her granddaughter had been eagerly preparing for the arrival of her baby boy, with a decorated nursery and a chosen name. Rachel Soto tearfully pleaded for her granddaughter's safe return, as the family organized a search of the area with the help of friends and loved ones. They hope to find answers and see Soto returned safely.
