A Pennsylvania mother is living in fear after a stranger repeatedly broke into her home to watch her 9-year-old daughter sleep. Tiffany Szabara, of Coatesville, reported that the man had entered her home on four separate occasions since September. The most recent incident occurred on Christmas Eve, when surveillance cameras captured footage of the intruder in her kitchen. Coatesville Police Department has identified the suspect as Jefferson Mejia Gonzalez, who turned himself in after a warrant was issued for his arrest. Gonzalez has been charged with burglary, criminal trespass, stalking, and other crimes.

Szabara recounted the series of break-ins to WPVI, explaining that the suspect initially gained entry through the broken lock on her back door. On two other occasions, the door was left unlocked, and once he even climbed through a window. Regardless of how he entered, the man always made his way to the child's bedroom. "He's coming in and having conversations with her," Szabara revealed, expressing her deep concern for her daughter's safety. Shockingly, the intruder never touched any valuables in the house, including cash left on the counter. His sole focus was on watching the young girl sleep.

Following the disturbing incidents, Szabara took immediate action to enhance the security of her home. She installed new locks and surveillance cameras to deter any future break-ins. Coatesville Police Department also posted photos of the suspect captured by the video cameras, seeking the public's assistance in identifying him. Thanks to a tip from a member of the community, authorities were able to identify Gonzalez, leading to his arrest.

In an interview with NBC10, Szabara revealed a chilling detail about one of the encounters. During one incident, Gonzalez reportedly asked the nine-year-old girl to come with him. However, the brave child refused and followed him down the stairs as he left. Szabara commended her daughter's quick thinking and courage in the face of danger.

The Coatesville Police Department is actively investigating the break-ins and has interviewed Szabara's family regarding the incidents. They have also increased patrols in the area to ensure the safety of the community. Szabara expressed her fears, questioning what else the determined intruder may be capable of. The community remains on high alert as they await further developments in the case.
