Grant's compliance, the abuse did not stop," the lawsuit stated. It alleged that McMahon continued to subject Grant to physical and emotional abuse, as well as sexual assault, throughout their relationship.

The lawsuit also named John Laurinaitis, a former WWE executive, as a defendant. According to the complaint, Laurinaitis was aware of McMahon's abusive behavior towards Grant but failed to take any action to stop it. Instead, he allegedly participated in the abuse himself, further traumatizing Grant.

Grant's attorney, Ann Callis, emphasized the importance of holding both McMahon and Laurinaitis accountable for their actions. She stated that the lawsuit aimed to shed light on the culture of abuse within WWE and prevent future victims from suffering the same fate.

In response to the lawsuit, WWE released a statement through its parent company, TKO Group Holdings. The statement clarified that McMahon does not have control over TKO and does not oversee the day-to-day operations of WWE. However, it acknowledged the seriousness of Grant's allegations and stated that the matter is being addressed internally.

The lawsuit includes multiple charges, including sex trafficking, civil battery, intentional or negligent infliction of emotional distress, and negligence. It detailed how McMahon allegedly used his position of power to manipulate Grant into a physical relationship, promising her career advancement within WWE.

Grant's lawsuit highlighted the power dynamics at play, describing her situation as feeling trapped and facing ruin if she did not comply with McMahon's demands. The lawsuit alleged that even after Grant entered into a physical relationship with McMahon and obtained employment at WWE, the abuse persisted.

The lawsuit painted a grim picture of Grant's experience, stating that despite her compliance, the abuse continued and intensified. It alleged that McMahon and Laurinaitis subjected Grant to physical and emotional harm, leaving her deeply traumatized.

Grant's attorney expressed her client's hope that the lawsuit would bring attention to the issue of abuse within WWE and prevent other women from becoming victims. She emphasized Grant's bravery in coming forward and seeking justice for the harm she endured.

As of now, neither McMahon nor Laurinaitis have responded to the allegations. The lawsuit remains pending in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, where Grant seeks accountability and compensation for the abuse she suffered.
