Adele postpones Las Vegas residency due to vocal rest

16:21 28.02.2024

Pop superstar Adele has once again been forced to postpone her Las Vegas residency due to a recurring health issue that has taken a toll on her voice. In a statement posted on Instagram, the London-born singer announced that all five "Weekends with Adele" events at The Colosseum Theater at Caesars Palace scheduled for March would be rescheduled for a later date as she rests on doctor's orders. This is the second time Adele has had to postpone her residency, with the first delay being caused by COVID-19 in 2022.

The Grammy winner, known for hits like Hello and "Rolling in the Deep," has been open about her struggles with mental health and postpartum depression in the past. She has also faced vocal cord issues, undergoing surgery in 2011 after suffering a hemorrhage. Adele's dedication to her fans was evident in her message, where she expressed her love for them and apologized for the inconvenience caused by the postponement.

Despite the setback in Las Vegas, Adele recently announced that she will be performing in Europe for the first time since 2016, with four nights booked in Germany in August. The singer has also extended her time at the casino in Las Vegas, saying that playing to 4,000 people for 34 nights was "not enough."

Fans who had tickets for the postponed shows in March will receive new dates as soon as possible. Adele's residency is currently scheduled to conclude on June 15, with additional shows planned for May and June. The singer's next performance is set for May 17, where she will once again captivate audiences with her powerful voice and emotional lyrics.
