Noa Argamani: Trance festivalgoer abducted by Hamas terrorists in Israel

17:14 09.10.2023

In a horrifying attack on innocent festival-goers, Hamas terrorists kidnapped Noa Argamani, a 25-year-old China-born Israeli student, from a music festival in Israel. The festival, a weekend-long trance music event, coincided with the Jewish holiday of Sukkot and was attended by approximately 3,500 people. Located just three miles from the Gaza Strip border, the festival became a target for the Hamas terrorists who stormed the open field and unleashed a full-force attack on the civilians.

Disturbing videos of the incident have since surfaced online, one of which shows Argamani screaming for help as she is forcibly taken away on a motorcycle. The videos highlight the terrifying experiences endured by the festival-goers, capturing the abductions in all their horror. Argamani's boyfriend, Avi Natan, was also present during the attack but was rendered defenseless as he was surrounded by several men with his hands held behind his back.

Amir Moadi, Argamani's university roommate, expressed her shock and concern for her friend and the impact this ordeal will have on her family. Moadi recalls receiving a text message from Argamani on the morning of the attack, informing them that terrorists had opened fire and were pursuing everyone. However, Argamani assured them that both she and Natan were safe in hiding. Unfortunately, no communication has been received from them since, leading Moadi to confirm their abduction after witnessing the distressing videos circulating online.

Argamani's father, Yaakov, described the heart-wrenching moment he discovered his daughter's abduction. Initially attempting to contact her as soon as they heard the rocket sirens, Yaakov grew increasingly concerned when Natan's response seemed vague and suggested a delayed call. Fearing the worst, Yaakov decided to visit a nearby hospital, where he was informed that his daughter was unharmed. It was during this time that Argamani's roommate contacted them, sharing the news of the video depicting her abduction. Yaakov, full of hope that it was a mistake, eagerly watched the video in the emergency room, only to witness his daughter's extreme fear and helplessness.

At present, Argamani's whereabouts remain unknown, with reports suggesting she is being held captive in an undisclosed location in Gaza. The distressing visuals of innocent citizens, including women, children, and the elderly, being taken hostage by Hamas, a recognized terrorist organization, have shocked the world. Argamani's father emphasized the need for a peaceful resolution, urging the Israeli government to act with sensitivity and compassion, as he acknowledged that Hamas fighters also have families who suffer.

The conflict between Israel and Hamas has been a long-standing issue, but the recent attack witnessed an escalation as the terrorist group breached the barrier at the Israel-Gaza border, launching an unprecedented assault. The militants killed civilians in the streets, kidnapped hostages, and continued firing missiles, prompting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to vow the destruction of Hamas. The death toll for both sides has surpassed 1,200, including nine Americans among the casualties.

The attack on the festival in Re'im, near the Gaza Strip, left a devastating impact. Paramedics have already recovered over 260 bodies from the desert area, a number expected to rise further, according to rescue agency Zaka. Gal Levy, a survivor of the attack, managed to escape but sustained gunshot wounds to both legs. Expressing his frustration and disappointment, Levy criticized the government and the army for their delayed response, recounting the excruciating six-hour wait for help and the fear of losing his life.

As the search for Noa Argamani continues, the global community remains united in their condemnation of the Hamas attack and their hopes for a safe return of all those abducted. The shocking videos emerging from the incident serve as a reminder of the terror and helplessness experienced by the victims, whose lives were forever altered by this tragic event.
