Multiple Women Accuse Sean Diddy Combs of Sexual Assault in New Lawsuits

Three women have come forward to accuse music mogul Sean Diddy Combs, as well as R&B singer Aaron Hall, of sexual assault in the early 1990s. One of the accusers, identified as Jane Doe in the complaint, alleges that Combs and Hall raped her and a friend after meeting them at an event hosted by MCA Records in New York City in 1990 or 1991. According to the lawsuit, the two performers were "flirtatious and handsy" with the women throughout the night, offering them drinks. Later, they invited the women to Hall's apartment for an afterparty, where Jane Doe claims to have been coerced into having sex with Combs. After Combs finished, Hall allegedly barged into the room and forced Jane Doe to have sex with him.

Following the alleged assault, the women quickly left Hall's apartment, with Jane Doe's friend later revealing that she had also been forced to have sex with Combs and Hall in another room. The lawsuit further alleges that a few days later, Combs came to the women's home and violently attacked Jane Doe, choking her until she passed out. It is suggested that Combs was trying to prevent the friend from revealing what had happened.

A spokesperson for Combs has vehemently denied the allegations, describing them as "fabricated claims falsely alleging misconduct from over 30 years ago." The spokesperson also criticized the timing of the lawsuits, claiming that they were filed at the last minute to exploit the Adult Survivors Act, which allows adult survivors of sexual assault one year to file civil action regardless of the statute of limitations.

The lawsuits were filed just one week after Combs settled a separate lawsuit with singer Cassie, in which she accused him of rape and physical abuse. Combs' attorney has stated that the settlement does not imply any admission of guilt.

These new allegations against Combs come amid a wave of sexual assault accusations in the music industry. Another lawsuit was filed earlier this week, accusing Harve Pierre, the former president of Bad Boy Entertainment and Bad Boy Records, of sexually assaulting a former assistant. Combs' companies were also named in the lawsuit.

Both lawsuits filed against Combs and Hall seek unspecified damages and accuse the defendants of battery, assault, sexual assault, and negligent infliction of emotional distress. The plaintiffs claim to have suffered physical injury, lasting psychological and financial damages, severe emotional distress, humiliation, loss of dignity, and invasion of privacy.

The attorneys representing the accusers are in the process of gathering further evidence and witness statements to support their claims. The lawsuits highlight the need for accountability and justice for survivors of sexual assault and the importance of the Adult Survivors Act in allowing victims to seek legal recourse.
