Australian actor Hugh Jackman recently found himself in a bit of trouble during a Christmas outing in New York City. The “X-Men” star, who recently announced his separation from his wife of 27 years, Deborra-lee Jackman, decided to take a trip to see the iconic Rockefeller Center Christmas tree on Christmas morning. However, his little solo adventure didn't quite go as planned.

Jackman, 55, admitted on Instagram that he broke a major rule by jumping a barrier to get closer to the famous tree. As he walked towards the tree, passersby appeared oblivious to the fact that the world-famous actor was among them, playing the role of a New York City tourist. Unfortunately for Jackman, one nearby security guard caught wind of his rule-breaking antics.

The security guard quickly scolded the actor for going beyond the barrier, but fortunately for Jackman, he got off with just a warning. In a video posted on social media, Jackman shared his experience, saying, "I highly recommend getting up really early on Christmas morning and taking a walk to see the Rockefeller Christmas tree. It's so beautiful and not crowded at all. I did get in trouble for going beyond the barrier, but the security guard was nice and let me go with just a warning."

Fans rushed to comment on Jackman's Instagram post, with one jokingly asking if the security guard was aware that he was Wolverine, a character Jackman famously portrayed in the “X-Men” film series. Despite the playful banter, some fans labeled the actor as “naughty” for breaking the rules.

This year marked Jackman's first festive season as a single man following his separation from his wife. The couple shocked fans in September when they announced their decision to separate after almost three decades of marriage. In a statement, they expressed their gratitude and love for each other and their commitment to prioritizing their family during this transition.

Despite the recent split, Jackman appeared to be in good spirits in the video he shared on social media, frequently flashing a big grin at the camera. This contrasted with a previous post that sparked concern among fans, where he appeared dejected.
