Kelly Clarkson, the renowned singer, opened up about her early struggles in the music industry during a recent episode of her talk show, "The Kelly Clarkson Show." The 41-year-old artist, who rose to fame after winning the inaugural season of American Idol in 2002, revealed that she made the bold decision to move from her hometown of Fort Worth, Texas, to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams.

During the show, Clarkson disclosed that she embarked on this journey with a complete stranger. "I actually moved out to LA with some random person I did not know," she confessed to her guest, actor Kevin Bacon. Surprised, Bacon inquired further, to which Clarkson replied, "Yeah, she just needed a roommate. I was like, "I'll do it,' and I moved from Texas to LA with a random stranger."

However, Clarkson's living situation took a turn for the worse when her apartment tragically burned down. "Then, I slept in my car for a few days and then tried out for a show called "American Idol' so it all worked out," she shared. Despite the hardships she faced, Clarkson's determination and resilience ultimately led her to achieve her dreams.

Clarkson also highlighted the commonality of having a "crazy story" among individuals in the entertainment industry before attaining success. "You've really got to want your dream," she emphasized, emphasizing the importance of unwavering passion and dedication.

Kevin Bacon, who was a guest on the show, also shared his own tale of struggling in the early days of his career. The 65-year-old actor humorously recounted living in a New York City flophouse back in 1976 when his budget for an apartment was a meager $150 per month. Bacon recalled finding a listing in the newspaper and visiting the building, only to realize that it was beyond his means. In a stroke of luck, Bacon approached a stranger he met during his visit and asked if he could become his roommate. The man agreed, and they ended up living together for four years, maintaining a friendship that lasts to this day.

Justin Guarini, who was a finalist alongside Clarkson on American Idol and later co-starred with her in the film "From Justin to Kelly," also shared his experience on the reality show. In an interview with Page Six, Guarini admitted that he had become somewhat self-absorbed during his time on the show. "Being taken with yourself in some way, shape, or form is unavoidable in that situation," he confessed. However, Guarini acknowledged that life humbled him, and he learned valuable lessons from his experiences.

Both Clarkson and Bacon's stories serve as a reminder that success often comes after overcoming significant challenges and setbacks. Their determination, resilience, and willingness to take risks have undoubtedly played a crucial role in their respective journeys to stardom.
