Bill Clinton's Involvement Revealed in Unredacted Jeffrey Epstein Documents

21:01 01.01.2024

Former President Bill Clinton is set to be identified as "John Doe 36" in the upcoming release of court documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to ABC News. The documents, which were previously redacted, are expected to reveal the names of over 150 individuals referred to as John or Jane Does. Fox News also reported that Clinton is not the only big name expected to be released.

Last month, a federal judge in New York ordered the unsealing of the documents, stating that there was no justification to continue keeping them sealed in a settled case involving an Epstein accuser. The unredacted documents are anticipated to be released as early as tomorrow, and among those named is former President Bill Clinton.

ABC News clarified that there is no indication that the sealed records contain evidence of illegal conduct by Clinton. However, he is mentioned more than 50 times in the redacted filings. Clinton's spokesperson declined to speak with ABC News and did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.

The documents are expected to identify various individuals, including associates, victims, investigators, and journalists who covered the case. Some names will remain under seal, including those of minor victims who never spoke publicly about the case and a person who was wrongly identified as an alleged perpetrator by a reporter. One individual requested the court not to release her name, citing potential physical harm.

The order to unseal the documents came as part of a 2015 lawsuit between Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre and his former lover and accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell. The case was settled in 2017, but the judge indicated in hearings in 2021 and 2022 that the names would not remain sealed indefinitely. Giuffre has alleged that Epstein and Maxwell trafficked her when she was 17 years old.

Jeffrey Epstein, already a convicted sex offender in Florida, died by suicide at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York in 2019 while awaiting federal trial for sex trafficking. Federal investigators upheld the designation of his death as a suicide in a report released in June. The report found flaws with the Bureau of Prisons and its staff members but did not uncover evidence contradicting the suicide ruling.

In the upcoming release of court documents, Clinton is expected to be referred to as "John Doe 36." He is mentioned over 50 times in the redacted filings related to Virginia Giuffre's lawsuit against Epstein. Many of these references are believed to be connected to Giuffre's attempts to compel Clinton to testify against Epstein and Maxwell. Other mentions of Clinton may be related to efforts from both Maxwell and Giuffre to make Epstein testify in 2016.

ABC News reports that the documents are not expected to implicate Clinton in any illegal activity. The names of more than 170 individuals, previously known only as John and Jane Does, will be revealed in the unsealed documents. These individuals have ties to Epstein, including accusers, alleged victims, Epstein's associates, and individuals who may have participated in his crimes.

Prince Andrew, who Giuffre claims she was instructed to have sex with by Maxwell and Epstein, is among those expected to be named in the documents. Some of the documents may include testimony from a woman referred to as "Jane Doe 162," who claims to have been with Prince Andrew at a party at Epstein's NYC townhouse in 2001.

Clinton, who has been photographed with Epstein and flew on his private jet multiple times, has denied any inappropriate connections to the sex offender. Giuffre attempted to subpoena Clinton to testify in her lawsuit, alleging that she met him on Epstein's private Caribbean Island. Maxwell denied Clinton ever visited the island, and Clinton declined to testify, stating that he was never there. Flight records appear to support Clinton's claims.

Representatives for Clinton have not responded to requests for comment on the upcoming release of the court documents.
