Revealing Epstein Documents Uncover Ties to Clinton and Trump

10:03 06.01.2024

Former President Donald Trump and former President Bill Clinton have been named in newly unsealed court documents detailing the associates of late financier Jeffrey Epstein. Trump, who had a prior relationship with Epstein, is mentioned four times in the documents. However, there is no evidence of any wrongdoing on his part, and he has not been charged with involvement in Epstein's crimes. Testimony from alleged victim Johanna Sjoberg claims that Epstein once called Trump and visited one of his casinos after his private plane was diverted. Sjoberg also testified that she and another alleged victim, Virginia Giuffre, went to Trump's casino but never met or engaged in any sexual relations with him. Trump distanced himself from Epstein when the financier was arrested in 2019, claiming they had not spoken in about 15 years.

Clinton, on the other hand, faces renewed public scrutiny after being identified multiple times in the court documents. Clinton is described as a "close personal friend" of Epstein, but he is not accused of any illegal activity. Clinton's name appears almost 100 times in the material, and he is said to have spent time on Epstein's private island of Little St. James. However, Giuffre, who flew to the island with Clinton in a helicopter piloted by Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's former girlfriend, said there was no evidence that Clinton was involved in wrongdoing. Giuffre also claimed that Clinton attempted to threaten Vanity Fair into not writing about Epstein's alleged sex trafficking. Vanity Fair has denied this incident, and sources who worked at the magazine at the time also cast doubt on it.

Both Trump and Clinton have denied any wrongdoing related to Epstein's crimes. Trump's spokesperson stated that he knows nothing about the crimes Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida or the charges he faced in New York. Clinton's spokesperson has also denied any knowledge of Epstein's crimes and stated that Clinton did not take part in any illegal activity. The newly unsealed court documents have sparked renewed public interest in the connections between high-profile individuals and Epstein, but it is important to note that being mentioned in the documents does not indicate any wrongdoing.
