In a small community south of Atlanta, Georgia, a mass shooting has left at least four people dead. The incident occurred late Saturday morning at a subdivision in Hampton, a city with a population of about 8,500. Melissa Robinson, a spokesperson for the county government, confirmed the fatalities and stated that the suspect is still at large.

Local law enforcement agencies, including the Hampton Police Department, the Henry County police and sheriff's office, and the Henry County Homeland Security, are working together to investigate the incident. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has also been called in for assistance. Authorities are expected to provide further details at a news conference scheduled for Saturday afternoon.

The Henry County Government issued a warning on social media, urging the public to avoid the area and informing them that the suspect is still on the loose. The county is located approximately 40 miles south of Atlanta.

During the news conference, Henry County Sheriff Reginald B. Scandrett identified the suspect as Andre Longmore and stated that a manhunt is currently underway. He urged anyone who spots Longmore, who is considered armed and dangerous, to immediately contact 911. Sheriff Scandrett also announced a $10,000 reward for information leading to the suspect's arrest and prosecution, vowing to bring him to justice.

The motive for the shootings remains unclear, but Hampton Police Chief James Turner revealed that the four homicides occurred at different locations. It is not yet known if the suspect has any relation to the victims. Chief Turner emphasized that all four victims were adults, three men and one woman, and their names will not be released until their families have been notified.

Authorities have provided a description of the suspect's vehicle, a black 2017 GMC Acadia with the license plate DHF756. The ongoing investigation is being led by the Hampton Police Department, with support from the Henry County Police Department and the sheriff's office, as well as Henry County Homeland Security and the Henry County Crime Scene Unit.

Mayor Ann Tarpley expressed her condolences during the news conference, calling the incident a sad and somber occasion. She assured the community that the city of Hampton is determined to bring those responsible for the tragedy to justice.
