Congress Set to Reveal Historic UFO Secrets in Hearing

07:29 01.08.2023

In a highly anticipated event, the House's Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs will hold a hearing on Tuesday at 10am to discuss unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) and their implications on national security, public safety, and government transparency. The hearing aims to shed light on the government's stance on UAPs and assess potential threats to national security and public safety.

The hearing will feature three whistleblowers who will provide firsthand accounts of encounters with UFOs. The witnesses include Ryan Graves, the executive director of Americans for Safe Aerospace, Commander David Fravor, a former commanding officer in the U.S. Navy, and David Grusch, a United States Air Force officer and former intelligence official. David Grusch recently made headlines when he claimed that the U.S. government was hiding evidence of "intact and partially intact craft of non-human origin." However, government officials have publicly disputed these claims, with Susan Gough, a spokesperson for the Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), stating that there is no verifiable information to substantiate Grusch's claims.

The Defense Department, intelligence community, and NASA have declined to participate in the hearing, adding to the intrigue surrounding the topic. This hearing comes as part of a series of high-level government discussions surrounding the existence of UFOs, also known as UAPs. Many journalists and scientists are hailing this hearing as a groundbreaking moment for UFO disclosure, as it will provide witnesses an opportunity to testify under oath in front of Congress.

The Department of Defense established the AARO last year to collect evidence of UAPs. However, the director of AARO stated in April that they have found no credible evidence of extraterrestrial activity or off-world technology. Despite this, several members of Congress have been vocal about the need for transparency regarding UFOs. Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., has called for the government to reveal what it knows about UFOs, stating that "Americans deserve to hear the truth" and that "we're done with the cover-ups." Similarly, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has emphasized the importance of declassifying information about non-human intelligences operating in the world.

Despite pushback from some quarters, the witnesses at the hearing are expected to speak openly and honestly about their experiences. Rep. Burchett has stated that there are many people who do not want this information to come to light. Lawmakers hope that this hearing will provide the American people with the truth about UFOs and UAPs, ending decades of secrecy and cover-ups. They believe that it is time for the government to be transparent and accountable regarding these phenomena, which have long been a source of fascination and speculation.
