A shocking story has emerged from Georgia, where a mother of three has been arrested and charged with plotting to kill her estranged husband, a former Auburn University football player. Lindsay Shiver, 36, was caught when Bahamian police accidentally stumbled upon her alleged scheme to murder Robert Shiver, 38, while they were investigating a different case. Two men, Terrance Bethel, 28, who is identified as Lindsay Shiver's lover, and Faron Newbold, 29, were also arrested in connection with the plot.

Local police uncovered texts detailing the alleged murder plot when they searched the phone of a suspected burglar at Grabber's Bar and Grill in Great Guana Cay, Bahamas. It is not known at this time which of the three suspects owned the phone. Robert and Lindsay Shiver own a house in the Bahamas, near where Lindsay allegedly met her lover, Bethel.

The couple's marriage took a turn when Robert allegedly discovered Lindsay's affair and filed for divorce in April on grounds of "adulterous conduct." Lindsay responded with accusations of "physical and mental cruel treatment," including domestic violence.
