Morin, a 37-year-old mother of five, was found dead less than 24 hours after she vanished during a jog near a pedestrian trail in Bel Air, Maryland. The former national park search and rescue officer, Michael Gabriszeski, who assisted in finding Morin's body, described the crime as “brutal” in an interview with local news.

Gabriszeski and his stepdaughter volunteered to help search for Morin on Sunday in the area where she was last seen jogging on Saturday evening. Gabriszeski had a strong intuition that Morin would not be found out in the open and instead would be "tucked away." He kept seeing visions of tunnels in his mind, and when he noticed tunnel drains along the Ma & Pa trail, he immediately felt a sense of dread.

At around 1 p.m. on Sunday, Gabriszeski's stepdaughter made a shocking discovery. Morin's body was found surrounded by a pool of blood in a tunnel drain. Gabriszeski described the scene as a "terrible mess" and expressed his belief that Morin's injuries were severe, possibly caused by a rock or baseball bat. His stepdaughter also found a blood-covered rock near the crime scene.

Gabriszeski emphasized that the brutality of the crime suggested it was not a random thrill kill. "If somebody were to just do a thrill kill, it wouldn't be as brutal as what we witnessed," he said.

However, despite Gabriszeski's account, a spokesperson for the Harford County Sheriff's Office did not confirm whether Morin's body was found in the tunnel drains. They stated that Gabriszeski did not witness her body or have any first-hand knowledge of the crime scene.
