Teen TikTok Star Caleb Coffee Survives Terrifying 60-80 Foot Fall onto Lava Rock in Hawaii

In a shocking turn of events, Caleb Coffee, an 18-year-old TikTok star, found himself in a life-threatening situation during a hiking trip in Hawaii. Caleb, who boasts over 11.1 million followers on TikTok, was with three friends when he slipped and fell off a cliff, plummeting an estimated 60 to 80 feet onto lava rock.

The incident, which occurred on Wednesday at around 2 p.m., left Caleb with multiple serious injuries, including a broken femur, elbow, wrist, as well as numerous gouges and burns all over his body. He was immediately airlifted to the emergency room, where doctors initially feared he had suffered a spinal fracture and a broken neck.

However, in a video update posted to his father's Instagram story, Caleb expressed his gratitude and relief, revealing that his neck and spine were miraculously not broken. "For the past two days, all the doctors thought that my spine or neck was broken," he said from his hospital bed, sporting stitches on his forehead. "I just got out of another MRI and it turns out somehow, miraculously that it is not broken, just irritation, and I personally cannot make up an explanation for that other than thank you, Jesus."

Caleb's father, Jason Coffee, also shared details of his son's injuries, stating that he had a broken femur, a fractured wrist, and had undergone surgery to insert two plates and 10 screws in his right elbow. Remarkably, Caleb has maintained full motion in his fingers and toes.

This incident was not the first brush with death for Caleb, as he revealed in his own TikTok update. "60 to 80 feet, I can't even fathom it, I don't even remember. Just woke up and I thought I was going to die, and then I didn't die, so thank you God."

The Coffee family has created a GoFundMe page to cover Caleb's medical expenses, as he does not have medical insurance. The goal is set at $100,000, and as of Saturday afternoon, over $21,000 had been raised. Caleb's sister, Peyton Coffee, explained the dire financial situation, stating, "Unfortunately Caleb did not have medical insurance and we cannot afford these medical bills, that is why we are making this GoFundMe."

Caleb gained fame through his family's Vine account, where they would post comedy sketches. He and his siblings then created their own social media accounts, with Caleb focusing on pranks and various trends. His TikTok account quickly garnered a massive following, propelling him to stardom.

While Caleb's survival is nothing short of miraculous, his family has been warned that more injuries may surface in the coming weeks. "The medics have informed us that more injuries will most likely pop up over the next few weeks," the GoFundMe page states. "If you can't donate, he would appreciate your prayers. He is thankful to be alive but in excruciating pain as of now."

Jason Coffee, in his own update, expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support. "I want to thank everyone for all your love and support. It truly feels like family. We love you all. Please continue praying. It looks like it's going to be a long road to recovery but Caleb is strong and we know he's going to get through this!".
