New 'Sighting' of Loch Ness Monster Captured in 'Most Exciting' Photos Ever

01:04 02.09.2023

In a surprising turn of events, a second sighting of the legendary Loch Ness Monster has come to light, just days after what were hailed as the most exciting photos of the creature were snapped. The initial sighting was reported by 12-year-old Charlotte Robinson from Leeds, UK, who claimed to have seen the monster on August 17, 2018, from a distance of about 50 feet. Her sighting was recorded in the believers' official sightings register, and the accompanying photo was deemed the best depiction of Nessie in years.

It has now been revealed that Charlotte's sighting occurred during the same week that photographer Chie Kelly, 51, also captured incredible images of the elusive creature. Kelly, who had kept the photos to herself out of fear of ridicule, finally decided to make them public as hundreds of researchers and monster hunters gathered at Loch Ness for the largest search for Nessie in recent times. The photographs have been described as the best ever taken of the creature and have left experts baffled.

Charlotte described the creature she saw as having a neck and a head in the shape of a hook. She managed to capture a photo of the creature as it re-emerged from the lake, although she admitted not being able to judge the distance accurately. The sighting occurred just four days after Kelly's encounter, wherein she observed a spinning and rolling creature moving steadily across the lake's surface. Although she couldn't capture the entire length of the creature, she estimated that the visible parts were less than 2 meters long combined.

Kat, Charlotte's mother, initially didn't believe her daughter's claims of seeing the Loch Ness Monster. However, upon seeing the photo, she became a believer herself. She emphasized that with the number of sightings over the years, there must be something unexplained in the loch.

The recent photos taken by Chie Kelly have been hailed as the most exciting evidence of the Loch Ness Monster's existence. Steve Feltham, a dedicated searcher of Nessie for over three decades, praised the clarity of the pictures and deemed them worthy of further investigation. The photos, showing a serpent-like creature on the surface of the loch, were captured in 2018 but were only made public recently due to Kelly's reluctance to face potential ridicule.

The unveiling of these photos coincided with "Quest Weekend," a joint event hosted by the Loch Ness Center and the Loch Ness Exploration volunteer group. The event attracted Nessie enthusiasts from far and wide, providing them with a glimpse of the remarkable images. Despite the ongoing search efforts, substantiating claims of the creature's existence remains elusive. The Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register has recorded over 1,148 sightings of the creature, with a few reported in 2022 already.

The recent sightings and photographs have reignited the belief in the Loch Ness Monster, with enthusiasts and experts alike acknowledging that there is something unexplained lurking in the depths of Loch Ness.
