Former Trump aide Cassidy Hutchinson says Rudy Giuliani groped her on Jan. 6, 2021

In a recent interview on Newsmax, Rudy Giuliani, former President Donald Trump's lawyer, angrily dismissed allegations made by Cassidy Hutchinson, a former White House aide, that he groped her backstage at the "Stop the Steal" rally on January 6, 2021. Hutchinson's shocking claims were outlined in her upcoming memoir, "Enough," which describes Giuliani as a "wolf closing in on its prey." According to an excerpt obtained by The Guardian, Hutchinson alleges that Giuliani slipped his hand "under my blazer, then my skirt," during the event.

Giuliani, 79, immediately refuted the allegations as "completely, absolutely false" as host Eric Bolling attempted to broach the subject. In a heated exchange, Giuliani vehemently denied the accusation, expressing disbelief at Hutchinson's claim. "She claimed that I groped her in a tent on Jan. 6, where all the people went in that were very, very cold as a result of the president's speech ... I'm going to grope somebody with 100 people?" Giuliani questioned. "First of all, I'm not going to grope somebody at all. And No. 2, in front of 100 people?"

Asserting his innocence, Giuliani emphasized that he had "extra security" and his "entire staff around me virtually all day." He highlighted the presence of his ten-person entourage, who accompanied him throughout the speech, making it implausible for such an incident to have occurred. He labeled Hutchinson's allegations as "completely absurd."

Hutchinson, who was 24 years old at the time and working as an assistant to Trump's then-chief of staff Mark Meadows, described feeling Giuliani's "frozen fingers trail up my thigh" in her book. She recalls his chin tilting up and his eyes appearing jaundiced. In her account, she recoils from his grip, filled with rage, and storms through the tent in search of Meadows.

This is not the first time Giuliani has faced such allegations. In May, a former employee filed a $10 million lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault, harassment, and wage theft. Furthermore, Giuliani has been indicted in Georgia for his alleged involvement in conspiring to illegally overturn the results of the 2020 election, though he has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Hutchinson gained prominence as a key witness in the congressional hearings regarding the events of January 6, testifying to her disgust with the attack on the Capitol and denouncing it as a result of a lie. Giuliani, known for fueling false claims of election fraud, has been a prominent figure in promoting the narrative that the 2020 election was stolen.

Giuliani's spokesperson, Ted Goodman, dismissed Hutchinson's allegations as false. The former mayor's denial adds another layer to the ongoing controversy surrounding his actions and legal troubles. As the public eagerly anticipates the release of Hutchinson's memoir, "Enough," the allegations against Giuliani continue to cast a shadow over his reputation and legacy.
