Speaking to Spectrum Bay News 9, Bullard recounted the harrowing sight, stating, "I could tell there was a body in his mouth, so I started recording." Emergency personnel swiftly arrived on the scene and managed to pull the alligator from the water. Bullard mentioned that the gator was shot "a few times" by the responders.

While we were standing here, we heard a shot, I assume they killed the gator."
