A 26-year-old man caused chaos at Disneyland over the weekend when he decided to strip naked and disrupt the iconic "It's a Small World" ride. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when Anaheim Police were called to assist Disney security with a guest who was naked in and around the attraction. Video footage captured by a park goer shows the man wading in the canal of the water-based boat ride, which is typically enjoyed by children. The attraction, known for its animatronic dolls dressed in costumes from different cultures, was interrupted by the man's bizarre behavior.
Disneyland officials confirmed that the man had disembarked from one of the Small World boats before stripping down and proceeding to walk among the ride's sets. The man's actions were documented in another video, where he can be seen climbing over the animatronic figures and even sitting in a representation of the Taj Mahal while flying carpets circled above him. Staff members attempted to calm the situation until police officers arrived, temporarily stopping the ride. Concerned guests voiced their worry, requesting that the music be turned off and expressing fear that the man would damage the ride's equipment.
In a separate video, the man is seen wading through the water completely naked before eventually making his way outside the attraction. He was spotted walking around the park without clothes, leaving them in a pile on the side of the ride. The incident left many parkgoers shocked and appalled. One witness, Ashley Esqueda, took to social media to share her disbelief, stating, "I am on Small World and there was a streaker. I cannot believe this is happening."
Thankfully, no one was physically harmed during the incident, and after the man was removed from the park, he was taken to a local hospital for a check-up. Anaheim Police arrested the unidentified man for suspicion of indecent exposure and being under the influence of a controlled substance. The ride, which had been shut down during the incident, was able to resume operations about an hour-and-a-half later.
