Pest Control Worker Arrested for Inappropriate Behavior Towards Women, Including Elderly Customer

04:16 29.11.2023

A Florida pest control and lawn care worker has been apprehended after being accused of indecent exposure towards two different women in separate incidents. According to authorities, 27-year-old Tyler Mountain, a resident of Lake Whales, Florida, was arrested and charged with lewd exhibition and lewd exhibition to an elderly person for incidents that occurred in July and October.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office initiated an investigation on October 26, 2023, after a 76-year-old woman reported to the local authorities that an employee of a nearby pest control and lawn services company had exposed himself to her while he was inside her residence. The woman stated that Mountain entered her home to provide her with an estimate for pest control services. However, upon exiting her bathroom, the woman claimed that Mountain had his genitals exposed and asked for assistance due to a broken zipper. Disturbed by the situation, the woman promptly refused his request.

Upon receiving this complaint, detectives promptly contacted the pest control and lawn services company where Mountain was employed. The regional manager informed the detective that Mountain had already been terminated from his position after the company became aware of the complaint. Shockingly, the manager also disclosed that this was the second complaint they had received about Mountain's inappropriate behavior.

Mountain was taken into custody on November 22 for the October incident. However, detectives were unable to speak with the victim of a previous incident in Haines City at that time. Fortunately, when the victim returned, she met with a detective and disclosed that Mountain had visited her residence on July 24, 2023, to provide lawn maintenance services. While inside her home, Mountain allegedly exposed himself and once again claimed his zipper was broken. Detectives subsequently arrested Mountain on November 25 for the allegations stemming from July.

Sheriff Grady Judd expressed his revulsion towards Mountain's actions, stating, "This man used his work position to gain access to the homes of these women, and then sexually exposed himself - this behavior is disgusting and predatory." Concerned that there may be additional victims, Sheriff Judd urged anyone who may have similar experiences with Mountain to come forward.

The investigation into both incidents is ongoing, and detectives are encouraging anyone with information to contact the Polk County Sheriff's Office at 863-298-6200.
