Perry's husband, AEW wrestler Miro, took to Instagram to share an update on her condition, posting a photo of Perry in her hospital bed with lunch and dessert by her side, captioning it, "Time to eat."

The wrestler had initially shared her health troubles on social media, stating that she was forced to miss an event called Collision due to her situation. Perry had posted pictures of her swollen middle finger and a rash on her arm, requesting prayers from her fans. She wrote, "Please keep me in your prayers I"m at the ER @vphcares. The infection from my small finger has gone up my arm. I am so sorry I had to miss last night and @AEW tonight. I look forward to debuting in Mexico with @AndradeElIdolo. On Monday, Perry provided an update, revealing that her condition had worsened and she would require surgery. She shared, "I have been in the ER and hospital for over 50 hours. The infection has gotten worse, and I"m going into surgery tonight. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I love you all." Her illness also caused her to miss a show for the Mexican wrestling promotion, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), on Sunday.

Perry made her debut in All Elite Wrestling in September, coming to the aid of her husband Miro during an attack. She also manages wrestler Andrade. Prior to joining AEW, she had a successful career in WWE from 2013 to 2021.
