21:52 14.04.2024

Authorities in Oklahoma have made a major breakthrough in the case of the disappearance of two women, Veronica Butler, 27, and Jilian Kelley, 39, who were last seen together in a vehicle that was later found abandoned in a rural part of Texas County, Oklahoma. Four individuals, Tad Bert Cullum, 43, Tifany Machel Adams, 54, Cole Earl Twombly, 50, and Cora Twombly, 44, have been arrested and charged with two counts each of first-degree murder and kidnapping, as well as one count of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation announced. The remains of two bodies have also been found in Texas County, although they have not been identified yet.

The missing women were driving to pick up children when they disappeared, prompting an "endangered missing advisory" to be issued by the Texas County Sheriff's Department. Investigators found evidence of foul play in the abandoned vehicle, leading to the arrests of the four suspects. Veronica Butler had been involved in a custody battle, but it is unclear if this had any connection to her disappearance.

Despite the serious charges brought against the suspects, authorities have not revealed any further details about the case, including possible motivations or evidence that led to the arrests. The investigation is ongoing, with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation still working to locate the two missing women. Anyone with information is urged to contact the bureau at tips@osbi.ok.gov or 1-800-522-8017. The suspects have been booked into the Texas County Jail, but charges have not yet been officially filed, and it remains to be seen if they will make an initial court appearance or obtain legal representation.
