As the year comes to a close, people around the world are eagerly preparing to celebrate the arrival of 2024. Whether it's with loved ones, on the dance floor, or from the comfort of their own couch, individuals are looking forward to watching the iconic Times Square ball drop and participating in the countdown festivities. While NBC will not be airing national New Year's Eve programming due to the Sunday night football game, other networks are stepping up to provide viewers with spectacles that include rock star performances and celebrations across the country.

One of the most highly anticipated events is "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2023," which will be broadcasted on ABC from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. ET. Hosted by Ryan Seacrest in New York City, the show will feature co-host Rita Ora, Jeannie Mai in Los Angeles, and Dayanara Torres in Puerto Rico. Viewers can watch the live event on TV, ABC's website and app, as well as on subscription services like Hulu and YouTube TV. The star-studded lineup includes performances by Cardi B at Fontainebleau Miami Beach, LL Cool J in Times Square, Megan Thee Stallion, Tyla, Sabrina Carpenter, Ellie Goulding, Green Day, Renee Rapp, Post Malone in Las Vegas, and K-pop group NewJeans from South Korea.

CNN will also be hosting their annual "New Year's Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen" special. The dynamic duo, celebrating their seventh year as co-hosts, will provide hilarious commentary on the festivities in New York City. The show will stream live on CNN Max and for TV subscribers on CNN.com and the CNN app. At 12:30 a.m. ET, broadcasters Sara Sidner and Cari Champion will take over the celebration from Austin, Texas, in the Central time zone. The lineup of performers includes Enrique Iglesias, the Jonas Brothers, Flo Rida, Rod Stewart, and Miranda Lambert. Additionally, there will be interviews with Patti LaBelle, Jeremy Renner, Neil Patrick Harris, and Bowen Yang & Matt Rogers, as well as a special appearance by illusionist David Blaine.

For country music fans, "New Year's Eve Live: Nashville's Big Bash" is the place to be. Hosted by Grammy-nominated artist Elle King and "Entertainment Tonight's" Rachel Smith, the third annual Nashville bash will air on CBS and stream on CBS.com and Paramount+. The lineup of performers includes Lainey Wilson, Thomas Rhett, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, among others.

For those brave enough to brave the crowds and witness the Times Square ball drop in person, there will be access points at 49th, 52nd, and 56th streets on Sixth and Eighth avenues. Actor Jonathan Bennett and co-host Jeremy Hassell will guide the audience through the festivities. Performances by Megan Thee Stallion, Flo Rida, Paul Anka, and an appearance by Mayor Eric Adams will make the experience unforgettable.

New Year's Eve is a time to leave the past behind and embrace the new year with open arms. Whether it's through watching these TV specials or joining in the live celebrations, people all over the country are ready to bid farewell to 2023 and welcome 2024 with hope and excitement.
