Iran's involvement in deadly Hamas attack on Israel revealed: report

18:05 08.10.2023

In a shocking revelation, senior members of terrorist groups Hamas and Hezbollah have reported that Iran had a hand in planning the deadly attack on Israel that took place on Saturday. According to these sources, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) held meetings with Hamas and Hezbollah since August, finalizing the attack plans. The Wall Street Journal obtained this information from two members of Hamas and Hezbollah, who also claimed that Iranian security forces provided approval for the attack to proceed.

The final go-ahead for the attack was allegedly given by Iranian officials at a meeting in Beirut just last Monday. Representatives from Hamas, Hezbollah, and a Lebanese political faction were present during this crucial meeting. The attack, which has resulted in the death of 700 people, was planned meticulously in coordination with the IRGC.

However, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has stated that American officials have not yet seen concrete evidence linking Iran to the attacks. Despite this, Iran has long been known as an adversary of Israel and a supporter of jihadi groups in the region.

While a senior Hamas official, Mahmoud Mirdawi, has claimed that the attack was a joint decision made by Palestinians and Hamas, officials from Syria and Europe have stated that Iran played a significant role in its planning. These reports emerge following Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's call for Muslim countries to join in the attacks on Israel. Raisi, who spoke to Hamas on Sunday, expressed Iran's support for Gaza's right to self-defense and demanded that Israel be held accountable for endangering the region.

In a statement, Raisi accused the Zionist regime and its supporters of jeopardizing the security of nations in the region. He called upon Muslim governments to support the Palestinian nation while praising the resistance efforts of Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other countries such as Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq.

Despite the claims made by Hamas and Hezbollah leaders, US officials have not yet seen evidence directly implicating Iran in the planning of the attack. Secretary of State Blinken, during an interview with CNN, acknowledged the long-standing relationship between Iran and terrorist organizations but stated that evidence regarding this specific attack is yet to be presented.

Furthermore, Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has taken to social media to praise the attacks, declaring that the "Zionist regime will be eradicated at the hands of the Palestinian people and the Resistance forces throughout the region."

The Israeli government has responded to this devastating attack by officially declaring war, marking the first time the nation has done so since the Yom Kippur War in 1973. Hamas, a terrorist organization, initiated the surprise attack on Israel by launching rockets from the Gaza Strip.

Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, has accused Iran of being behind the attack. Erdan claimed that meetings between the leaders of terror armies surrounding Israel were held in Syria and Lebanon, attempting to coordinate their actions with Iran.

The death toll from the conflict has risen dramatically since the war began on Saturday, with at least 1,100 people losing their lives. Of these, approximately 700 were in Israel, while the remaining casualties occurred in Gaza, where the Israeli military has targeted over 800 sites. Disturbingly, Hamas has reportedly taken numerous hostages, including women and children, during the attacks. The US government is currently working to ascertain whether any American citizens have been taken hostage.

Amid these shocking revelations, Fox News Digital reached out to the White House for comment regarding the claims that Iran played a role in planning the attacks. The response from US officials is eagerly awaited as the situation in the Middle East continues to escalate.
