Bills' Von Miller Denies Domestic Violence Allegations, Calls Them '100% False'

23:48 28.12.2023

Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller held a press conference on Thursday to address the domestic violence allegations against him. Miller vehemently denied the accusations, calling them "100 percent false" and "blown out of proportion." He expressed his frustration with the situation, stating that while something did happen between him and his girlfriend, it was not as severe as alleged. Miller mentioned that there are details he cannot reveal due to the ongoing investigation.

Miller, 34, turned himself into police in suburban Dallas on November 30th after being charged with third-degree felony assault of a pregnant woman. If convicted, he could face 2 to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. However, prosecutors have yet to file charges against Miller, and the case has not been assigned to a judge.

According to a police affidavit, the alleged assault occurred on November 29th. Miller reportedly put his hands on the woman's neck twice, pulled out a chunk of her hair, and threw her onto a couch. The woman sustained minor injuries, including bruising on her neck. She also claimed that Miller stomped on her laptop after she threatened to call the police. She stated that she recorded part of the attack.

The NFL has been monitoring the situation but has not provided any updates on its investigation. The Buffalo Bills have followed the NFL's lead and allowed Miller to continue playing, as no charges have been filed. Miller acknowledged that his performance on the field has been affected by his recovery from a knee surgery he underwent last year. He expressed his determination to improve and return to his expected level of play.

Miller, a two-time Super Bowl winner and the NFL's active leader in sacks, signed a six-year, $120 million contract with the Bills in 2022. He has been with the team for two seasons. Despite the ongoing legal issues, the Bills are still in contention for a playoff spot and will face the New England Patriots in their final home game of the season on Sunday.

In his press conference, Miller emphasized the importance of clearing his name and expressed his gratitude to those who know him and believe in his character. He stated, "All of it is incorrect. You know, it's not a funny situation, but all of it is incorrect and all of it is untrue. The only thing that is true is we do have a third son on the way."

It remains to be seen how the legal proceedings will unfold and what impact they will have on Miller's future with the Buffalo Bills and in the NFL.
