Tucker Carlson falls for prank about edited Kate Middleton photo

15:56 19.03.2024

In a shocking turn of events, pranksters Josh Pieters and Archie Manners managed to dupe right-wing media pundit Tucker Carlson into believing they had been fired from their jobs at Kensington Palace over the Kate Middleton edited photograph fiasco. Posing as a disgruntled former employee named George, the pair convinced Mr. Carlson to interview them for his Tucker Carlson Network (TCN) after claiming they had been let go for poorly editing a photo of the Princess of Wales and her children on Mother's Day.

During the interview, Mr. Manners, posing as the former employee, spun a tale about how the photograph in question had actually been taken by the Princess's uncle in December, with a Christmas tree in the background that had been edited out. Mr. Carlson, seemingly convinced by the elaborate story, praised the pair for their storytelling skills, saying, "That was great, and really interesting too. I didn't expect to be as interested in it as I was because you told a really great story."

The pranksters revealed that they decided to come clean about their deception before the interview aired on TCN, as they didn't want false information to spread to the network's 530,000 followers on X. They claimed that mainstream media in the UK wouldn't touch the story, so they saw Mr. Carlson as the perfect target to get their attention.

The pair even went as far as creating a fake employment contract from Kensington Palace, complete with a Latin translation of the Tesco strapline "Every Little Helps" and a clause allowing the royals to "amputate one limb of their choosing" if an employee failed a probationary period. Despite the elaborate ruse, Mr. Carlson and his team fell for the prank, showcasing the lengths these pranksters went to in order to pull off their elaborate hoax.
