Missouri student disappears after being kicked out of Nashville bar

12:50 13.03.2024

A 22-year-old University of Missouri student, Riley Strain, has gone missing after a night out with friends in downtown Nashville. Strain was last seen leaving Luke's 32 Bridge Food + Drink, country singer Luke Bryan's bar, on Friday night. According to reports, Strain was kicked out of the bar and told his friends he was walking back to the hotel, but he never made it back. His friends tried calling him, but his phone was dead. They searched for him using his last known Snapchat location, but to no avail. Strain's family, including his stepfather Chris and mother Michelle, traveled from Springfield, Missouri, to assist in the search. Surveillance footage released by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department shows Strain crossing a street at 9:47 p.m. on Friday. Despite extensive air and ground searches, including a helicopter search of the riverbank area, authorities have been unable to locate Strain. The University of Missouri has been in touch with his family and Nashville authorities, offering support and counseling resources to the campus community. The family is desperate for answers, with Michelle Whiteid expressing her anguish over not being able to speak to her son, whom she talks to multiple times a day. Luke Bryan and the TC Restaurant Group, operators of Luke's 32 Bridge, have also joined the efforts to find Strain, urging anyone with information to come forward. As the search for Riley Strain continues, Nashville police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 615-862-8600.
